Logan Family Dental is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Lancaster, OH

We are seeking to hire an enthusiastic, motivated and friendly dental assistant for a part-time or full-time position of up to 34 hours per week in our private practice dental office. We have 2 to 4.5 days a week open for our position. We have a great team that works very well together. Our busy general dentistry practice offers a wide variety of procedures to service our community. We have highly skilled doctors with an experienced staff. We schedule meetings for continuing education and we have bi-weekly team bonuses.

We are seeking a skilled dental assistant who is well-organized with great attention to detail. The applicant should be able to adapt to our office protocols and respect our policies.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers in the dental office
  • Prepare customers for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
  • Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
  • Sterilize instruments according to regulations
  • Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
  • Undertake lab tasks as instructed
  • Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
  • Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
  • Schedule appointments- will train per our protocols
  • Maintain accurate patient records

Skills

  • Proven experience as dental assistant
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
  • Understanding of health & safety regulations
  • Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus
  • Excellent computer skills with accurate documentation
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Knowledge of digital xrays and intra-oral scanners
  • Attention to detail
  • Well-organized and reliable
  • High school diploma required
  • Graduation from dental assistant school is mandatory

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 34 per week
